Our very own, Mimi Wadsworth, has been featured in the latest issue of Modern Luxury Interiors Texas. She gives us a peek into our latest store, B2, and describes how the new concept came about. "We're able to show our clients what we're talking about and working on -- from paint colors to pillows, refrigerators and flowers," said Wadsworth.

Our sweet friend, Meg Lonergan, of LeSueur Interiors was recently charged with the task of decorating for herself and her sweet bundle of joy, Julian. Being the fashion forward girl that she is, she wanted an unconventional twist on her nursery. She instantly fell in love with the color Black Blue from our Farrow & Ball line but was nervous the color would be too much for her wee baby to be. We're so thrilled that she was bold and brave and settled on black blue. After all, it is one of our favorites. Two Boxwood employees actually have it in their homes! Not quite black and not quite blue, Black Blue is the perfect everchanging color! Come into Boxwood or B2 today to pick up a sample pot!

B2: A designer's home away from home

With the opening of B2 on the horizon for us at Boxwood, we wanted to let you in on the amazing amenities this store has to offer. Not yet open, B2 is already scheduled for a vast expansion and transformation this fall! That expansion is going to offer designers and the design-minded a workroom and design showroom to turn their ideas into reality.

Since B2 and Boxwood are both located on the design corridor stretch of W. Alabama, we have the privilege of working with Houston's most talented designers on a day-to-day basis. Many of these designers are out with clients all day and rarely have a chance regroup, let alone rest their feet! As designers, we know the importance of having resources readily available when trying to sell your vision to your client. B2 is going to provide all the resources you need to transform your vision and we'll provide you the space to do it. The kitchen in the home adjoining the current B2 space will officially become our designer workroom. Fabric samples, paint, wallpaper, furniture finishes...you name it, it will be there for you. There is no need to set up an appointment. Pull up a chair to our dining table, lay out your samples and let your design ideas flow. We hope that you and your clients will be able to relax with a glass of wine or a cappuccino and maybe a cookie or three.

We've been busy here at Boxwood! A few weeks back we hosted a book signing party for our dear friend, Leslie Sinclair. Leslie wrote a beautiful coffee table book compiling her work as a decorative painter. The book is truly gorgeous and provides immeasurable inspiration for your own home.
